Overview: The 2004 Tour of Connecticut brings international professional cycling to the towns and cities of Connecticut. With the speed and color of a day at the Tour de France, the race has proven to be the best preparation ground for teams on the hunt for the USPRO cycling championship in Philadelphia in early June.

May 23rd Housatonic Valley Classic 160K Start: 1:00

Tour of Connecticut Now in its second year, the Tour grew out of the original Housatonic Valley Classic first established in 2001 and the permanent site of the final stage of the Tour. The TOC is 350 miles of racing held over five days, and involving 25 Connecticut towns and cities. Community festivals and events are held wherever the Tour goes. The TOC is presented by the Housatonic Valley Sports Organizing Committee, WTNH -ABC & WCTX - UPN, ARIA TV SPORTS, Land Rover, Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials and Economic Development Partnership and the North West Connecticut Convention and Visitors Bureau. It is produced by Sparta Cycling.
