Cyclosportif is a European term for the recreational athlete/cyclist who enjoys the challenge of riding a real road race course. Popular cyclosportif events include "L'Etape du Tour" (www.letapedutour.com) which is run on a Tour de France stage three days before the actual race takes place.

The Cyclosportif 100K is a beautiful yet challenging ride, open to the public and held on parts of the same grueling race course as the Litchfield Hills stage of the Tour of Connecticut. The event begins at 11:30 AM, on the same starting line, and just ten minutes after the start of the Professional race. Cyclo riders will follow the professional race route until the cutoff points for the 30 and 60 -mile routes. Finishers can use the area YMCA shower facilities, and then watch the final exciting laps of of the Tour of Connecticut on the exciting Torrington city circuit..

Water stations will be available along the course, along with sag wagon support.

The start/finish is on Main Street, at the intersection with Maiden Lane.
Parking is available just a block away, behind the YMCA at 259 Prospect St. Click here for directions to the parking area
